The National Breast Cancer Foundation ‘Brides for Breast Cancer’ program will allow Australian brides to do just that as Design Ambassadors  Charlie Brown, Nevenka, Camilla Franks, Steven Khalil, Amanda Garrett, Jacqui Alexander and Luci Di Bella come together to support breast cancer research and showcase the unique talents which have elevated them to the forefront of the Australian design industry.

The ’Brides for Breast Cancer’ program, supported by NBCF gold partner Telfast, will see each of these designers design and produce one bridal gown which will then be sold through an online auction coinciding with Breast Cancer Month this October.

“For many Australian women, their wedding day is one of the most important days of their life,’ National Breast Cancer Foundation CEO Sue Murray said. “A saddening reality in Australia is that many women may not see the wedding days of their sisters, daughters or friends, due to the impacts of breast cancer.”

All funds raised will back research into the disease.

Telfast is a gold supporter of ‘Brides for Breast Cancer’ recognising that October is not only Breast Cancer Month, but also a peak time for hayfever symptoms in Australia. Hayfever can cause havoc for brides at this time of the year when red noses and itchy eyes caused by allergies to flowers, grasses or pollens may put a dampener on special events…not to mention the wedding photos!

The Brides for Breast Cancer auction will run from Thursday 18 to Sunday 28 October.
